LEADERSHIP DICKINSON
MEDORA ROPES COURSE
THE DAY IN REVIEW
BY OUR LEADERSHIP MEMBER
Alexa Walby and Farrah Zeller
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH
Our first adventure with Leadership Dickinson was an eventful one. We traveled to Medora to partake in some team building activities. We started with a few group activities that forced us to communicate and come up with strategies to achieve our goals. In these first few activities, we learned that strong strategies and good teamwork are vital in completing tasks efficiently.
After our group activities, we moved on to the high ropes course. Everyone had a partner that they needed to complete the course. The first course tested our trust. Every person needed to rely on their partner in order to succeed. The second course involved strength and strategy.
Since we had already established trust in our first course, we were able to focus on our strategies. All the while, those that were on the ground supported those attempting the course. We shouted out our suggestions and our encouragements. Everyone was engaged for the duration of our activities.
Our first adventure was a time of making new friends and learning how to best support one another. We are all very excited to see where our next adventure takes us.
