THE DAY IN REVIEW

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14TH
Today was our Agriculture Day. We started our day off at the chamber with 3 2 1’s and update our service project which is coming along! Not long till we get Cuddles for Kids going!! Then we got on the bus and headed to the Hoff Dairy, south of Richardton. There we learned about the importance of our dairy farmer and get to get a first hand look at the robotic milking! Afterwards we getting to Southwest Grain where we learned about the separation of grain and got to see all the different types of fertilizer. In the afternoon, lunch was donated by the DSU Agriculture Department.
After lunch we headed out to Stockmen's Livestock Exchange. Larry Schnell at Stockmen's explained the whole auction process to us and answered all of our questions. He even showed us his auctioneer voice! To end our day we headed over to the DSU Agriculture Department. We were given a tour of their whole facility and also got to sit down with Chip Poland, the Department chair.
